Kenassu nīyati loko,
What leads the world on?
Kenassu parikassati;
What drags it around?
Kissassu ekadhammassa,
What is the one thing
Sabbeva vasamanvagū”ti.
That has everything under its sway?
Cittena nīyati loko,
The Emotional Mind leads the world on.
Cittena parikassati;
The Emotional Mind drags the world around.
Cittassa ekadhammassa,
The Emotional Mind is the one thing
Sabbeva vasamanvagū”ti.
that has everything under its (Emotional Minds) sway.

Manopubbaṅgamā dhammā manoseṭṭhā manomayā
Thinking Mind precedes experience, thinking mind is the chief, thinking mind is the creator
Manasā ce pasannena bhāsati vā karoti vā
With purified thinking mind if one to speaks or acts
Tato naṃ sukhamanveti chāyā'va anapāyinī.
Happiness will follow like a shadow which never leaves.
